START LINE PARKING & DIRECTIONS

Half Marathon and 5K Start Line Approved Parking Locations:
All half marathon and 5K participants must park at the start line area, surrounding Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and at the SIMON Laguna Hills Mall. Post race shuttles from the finish line to the start line depart from the Laguna Hills Community Center, on Hawk High Way, beginning at 8:30 am. There are NO PRE-RACE shuttles. Last shuttle back to the start line is at 12 noon.

Directions to Start Line Parking:

From I-5 North

• Exit El Toro Road and turn left
• Turn left on Avenida de La Carlota
• Follow signs and volunteers to parking

• Exit El Toro Road Proceed straight through the first traffic light
• Follow signs and volunteers to parking

FINISH LINE PARKING & DIRECTIONS
(Kid’s Race, Spectator and Expo Parking)

I-5 North and South

• Exit Alicia Parkway and head west
• Turn right on Paseo De Valencia for parking at the Laguna Hills High School and Laguna Hills Community Center and follow signs and volunteers to park.
• You may also park on Paseo De Valencia south of Alicia Parkway in designated areas

Road Closures and Detours

Please note, road closures on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2008 may affect your holiday or normal route! Local residents in the Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel area may be affected. Please click on the below links for detour areas and for a full listing of all closures:

Local Traffic

Aliso Viejo residents who want to cross Alicia Parkway when traveling South on Moulton Parkway, Pacific Park or Alicia Creek Road during the hours of 7am to 9 am on Monday May 26, 2008 can use the CA-73 Toll Road by entering at the Alicia Creek entrance South, (Tolls will be waived during this 2 hour period).

SHUTTLE INFORMATION

PRE RACE SHUTTLES
There are no pre race shuttles! In order to ensure a prompt start time of *7:00 am for the Half Marathon and *7:30 am for the 5K, all Half Marathon & 5K participants must park at the Start Line! If you do park at the Finish Line you must walk to the start line.

  • Half Marathoners must start before 7:10 am. Late arrivals will not be allowed to officially start the race.
  • 5K Run/Walk must start before 7:45 am. Entry into the gates of Laguna Woods Village will not be granted past 7:55 am. Late arrivals will not be allowed to officially start the race.

POST RACE SHUTTLES

• Post Race Shuttles will begin running from the finish line, on Hawk High Way, to the start line at 8:30 am.
• Shuttles will continue between the finish line and the start line from 8:30 am until 12:00 noon. The last finish line shuttle back to the start line will leave at 12:00 noon!
